18 take on the 20.20 mile moonwalk challenge

Last Saturday night at 11pm, 18 people left Wern Vets in Ruthin to embark on a 20.20 mile moonwalk through the Vale of Clwyd to raise money for two great causes.

The group included the President Elect Harry Fetherstonhaugh and wife Davina, and the Ambassador Designate Lowri Lloyd Williams.

The moonwalk took them to Llanbedr, across to Llandyrnog, through to Llanrhaedr, up pass the back of the old Bryn Morfydd to Saron, across to Cyffylliog then down through Bontuchel and back to Ruthin for a bacon bap before heading off for a well-earned sleep.

Refreshments, which were all donated were provided by volunteers at around the 5, 10 and 15 mile points and all the group arrived safely back in Ruthin by 5:45am.

Sponsor money is still coming in with it proceeds being shared between Clwyd 2020 and Prostate Cymru.
